Speaking in Umuahia, Rev Ubani described Kalu as a leader whose legacy continues to speak for him.
He noted that many beneficiaries of Kalu’s good governance, especially those who enjoyed timely salary payments, free education, and grassroots empowerment programmes have not forgotten his impact and are fully ready to support him again.
“His record speaks for him,” Ubani said. “Prompt payment of salaries, free education, and various empowerment initiatives were hallmarks of his administration.
“Those of us who enjoyed these benefits have not forgotten, and majority of these people from Abia North Senatorial District will vote him again in 2027.”
He also praised the strength of Kalu’s political base, saying: “With OUK Movement and Reality Organization firmly on ground, his political structure is unmatched. These platforms are well rooted across wards and communities and will deliver effortlessly.”
Ubani went on to commend Kalu’s charisma and popularity: “I admire his charisma. I must admit, I’m even jealous of how loved he is across the state. Whether you agree with him or not, you can’t deny that he connects with people in a way that is rare in politics.”
According to him, Kalu’s achievements spanning his time as Governor and Senator include the introduction of free education, regular payment of salaries and pensions, construction and rehabilitation of major roads, establishment of educational institutions, provision of solar-powered streetlights and boreholes, sponsorship of pro-people bills and motions, empowerment of women and youth, and facilitation of federal employment and infrastructure projects.
Pastor Ubani concluded by saying that Orji Uzor Kalu’s political goodwill, proven track record, and strong grassroots machinery make him a formidable force ahead of 2027.
“A man with a legacy doesn’t need to speak too much; his work and structure speak for him,” he said.
