Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has called on Nigerian entrepreneurs to take bold steps in creating jobs and building sustainable businesses that can strengthen the nation’s economy.
Speaking to business owners and young innovators, Kalu emphasized that entrepreneurship is one of the most effective ways to tackle unemployment and boost growth. He encouraged the federal government to support job-creating businesses with special funds and easier access to loans, so more people can start and expand their ventures.
The senator also urged youths not to rely solely on university degrees for success. Instead, he encouraged them to develop creative and practical skills, especially in areas like technology, digital services, and small-scale manufacturing, to tap into emerging opportunities.
Kalu highlighted the importance of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), promoting local industries, and embracing innovation to build a stronger economy.
“Entrepreneurship is the future,” he said. “We must equip our young people with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed, and in turn, they will create jobs and wealth for our communities.”
