WHY your name is very important*_
Re: Mascot Uzor-Kalu. (MUK).
The name you bear is very important. It is not just a name for it defines you and it can make or break you.
The name Goodluck Jonathan saw luck shine on him on 3 occasions. He was a lucky Deputy Gov, Gov and President. The name you answer is important.
While some names open doors, others names close doors and this leads to the subject of pedigree which i will address shortly.
In 2004, while working as a Seismic Engineer in Calgary, I became attracted to Arsenal football club simply because of the name of the coach, Arsene Wegner. Chances are that when you like the name, you will like the face behind the name. For many years, i was a supporter of Arsenal FC simply because of the name of the coach. And then the club performance impressed me a lot especially the 2004 premiership championship where Arsenal did not lose a single match that season.
When Arsene Wegner retired from Arsenal, i lost interest in the club.
Some names can be magnetic and others name can be repulsive.
This same Arsene Wegner story played out a few days ago.
On the internet, i came across an article which featured the name “Mascot Uzor Kalu.” I was not aware of this individual as a Nigerian or politician before now but the name “Mascot” attracted my attention.
What a beautiful and unique name, i said to myself.
Is this a real name or an alias, I asked myself.
I loved the name and when I put a face to the name, it was exactly the same Arsene Wegner story.
I am not a player or stakeholder in the politics of Abia State. To do so will amount to busy-body and a waste of my time.
But i had no idea that Mascot Uzor-Kalu is the blood brother of Orji Uzor-Kalu.
I had to reach out to someone for confirmation.
And I understand that Mascot is a potential APC Governorship candidate in Abia State. Goodluck!
My attraction to the name “Mascot” produced the first fruit when today, I read his response to MNK sentencing.
He said “This is not the time for noise making, let the dialogue begin, this is not the time for this or for that”
Mascot spoke truth as he walked in the footsteps of his brother, OUK.
And here comes to the subject of pedigree.
Your name, specifically your last name, is linked to your pedigree. Your pedigree is very important and I believe this is something the Yorubas take very seriously.
Many pro Tinubu supporters have approached me to ask, “Which Adegbulugbe are you?, Do you know Prof Adegbulugbe, Capt Adegbulugbe, Dr Adegbulugbe or Engr Adegbulugbe?
The moment i say Yes, my criticism of the Tinubu Government are ignored.
Pedigree is very important.
Professor Osinbajo is a man of pedigree. Family names like Grange, Uzor-Kalu, Fawehinmi, Awolowo, Adele, Williams, etc are rich in pedigree.
Like in the USA, pedigree can win elections. This was proven by the Kennedy and Bush family.
Your name and your pedigree is very important.
By pedigree, i do not imply silver spoon or cash and carry pedigree. I refer to humble pedigree.
Thank you and goodluck to Mascot. A beautiful name.
